Today we were supposed to make it to a museum but things got seriously side tracked by yours truly. Nothing unusual about that I suppose. Slept in, did some blogging, checked my email, grabbed a little breakfast, took a shower … that brought me up to about noon. I haven’t mentioned yet that Ian is in the middle of having an addition put on to the back of his house. It is a two-story addition that just had the framing for the first floor go up before

we arrived. So this resulted in a unique view from our bedroom window for the weekend. Actually, now that I think about it we likely were enjoying a view that no other guests will be able to see once the addition is complete. So I took a photo. Then it was time to take in the MoHo to drop it off at the RV repair shop for some

regularly scheduled maintenance. After that it was off to Pep Boys to get a battery checked out. It seemed that the coach battery was not doing its job. It is the battery used to run all the stuff in the part of the MoHo where you live … the coach. It powers all the electrical devices when the coach is not plugged in to an electrical outlet. We noticed that when we arrived at Ian and Kristi’s place, nothing would work unless we were plugged in. Ian and I had done some preliminary tests to determine why the flow of power seemed to be stanched. We started by checking the battery which “appeared” to be ok but the symptoms still seemed to point to a

dead battery. Ian suggested taking the battery to Pep Boys where they would do a battery check for free. Hopefully the

problem was just a bad battery because that is one of the few electrical problems and can fix myself. Unfortunately, or should I say fortunately, the battery tested out A-OK. That means that the problem must be somewhere else … but where? That was something we would have to find out and get fixed quickly, but it wasn’t going to happen today because all our other activities pretty much ate up the whole day. Once we returned home it was a little blogging, a little email, a little dinner and then a little movie. I almost felt like I was at home. By the way, the movie was Inside Man. Lot’s of fun and intrigue and it certainly keeps you on your toes. Chantal and I give it four thumbs up!
Today’s word:
stanch \STONCH; STANCH\, transitive verb:
To stop the flowing of; to check in its course; also, to stop the flowing of blood from; as, "to stanch a wound."
