Oct 26 – Snow in Florida?

Oct 26, 2006

Not a whole lot to report today. A little blogging in the morning. Then pack-up the MoHo. Then hit the road. We pulled out of Montgomery on our way to Pensacola, Florida. It rained on and off the whole day which made it seem like it took longer than it actually did. Still, we did not arrive until dinner time at which point I was pretty-much in a hypnagogic state. This, combined with the fact that the sand here is white, and the fact that many of the houses have what appears to be white roofs, made us think, at first, that it had snowed! I think a couple of late nights had caught up with me. I was absolutely beat. I ended up taking a nap once we arrived and got set up. Things felt a little better after that. We had dinner and then we all gathered around the big screen (9” TV ) and watched Master and Commander. That’s it for today. Hey, every day can’t be glamourous, eh?

Today’s word:

hypnagogic \hip-nuh-GOJ-ik; -GOH-jik\, adjective:
Of, pertaining to, or occurring in the state of drowsiness preceding sleep.
